About Us

LOCAL: Boosting Silver Economy through local community mentoring is an Erasmus+ KA2 project that runs from January 2022 to January 2024.

Community mentoring approaches offer many benefits to programmes, target audiences, and communities, and empirical evidence has shown that well-designed and well-implemented programmes can be successful in improving individuals’ knowledges, skills, competences and attitudes towards a subject or issue of interest. The Silver Economy is an enabler to deploy age-friendly communities across Europe and the rapid technologic and digital upgraded imposed by the COVID 19 restrictions is creating numerous opportunities in the Silver Economy sectors. Thus, the aim of the LOCAL project is to boost Silver Economy as an opportunity to local communities’ development by using community-based mentoring practices.
